Shirl & Shirley

We are excited to introduce you to a couple of relatively smart gals who love to talk!  We talk about anything and everything and we enjoy the people we meet along the way. This has given us the freedom to explore new topics, new ideas and share some of our experiences along the way.  We are sometimes technologically challenged though we figure it out and that is a laughable matter all in its own!  So please take a few minutes to listen to some insightful, interesting, thought provoking, fun chatter!  If you are offended, well, we can't say sorry, we try our best!

This is one that tugs at my heart, a 14 year old boy shot his sister and their friend with a 410 gauge shotgun and killed them both, hid them and went on like nothing happened, shocking!  He was found guilty and served only 11 years in prison, some of that in juvenile and then was out, he went to school was paid a stipend (by taxpayers), got out, went on to live a life, sad tragic tale......I knew his sister's friend, I still think of this story and have since it happened in 1970!  I hope you enjoy.

This is a story of a missing woman for 23 years, found in her backyard buried, found by her son, it has twists and turns, her husband killed her and is now in prison after living 24 years of his life without any repercussion, until his son found her. Her husband, at the time, Michael Haim, was found guilty of murder (2nd degree); domestic violence happens even to people we know! I attended their wedding, so very sad.....

Some of our Interests

We have reached the age where we believe in what we believe in and most can't change our minds!  One of us has a child, one doesn't, one is married, one widowed, one travels more than the other, one likes 'people' more than the other; we balance each other out and that makes for a diverse group of topics.  We talk about politics sometimes, we talk about daily events, topics that many want to talk about but may be afraid to.  We  both love animals, we don't want to offend anyone, yet, we feel we have the right to feel the way we do and to talk about it.  Most of all we hope we can find our niche and you will enjoy listening to us and find that we can be interesting!
